At KOST – Kadambini Charitable Trust, creating awareness about spine and musculoskeletal health is a core part of our mission. Through public events, medical camps, and educational programs, we aim to prevent spinal disorders, promote early diagnosis, and improve quality of life for people of all ages.

A. Run for a Cause – Marathon Participation
KOST-KCT has actively promoted spine health awareness by participating in major marathon events, using sports platforms to spread the message of early diagnosis, physical fitness, and spinal care.

Years: 2008, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019
During these events, our team engaged with runners and the public to:
Educate people about spinal posture and injury prevention
Raise awareness about scoliosis and spinal deformities
Promote the importance of physical activity for spine health
B. Bone & Joint Day Awareness Camps
Date: 4th August
Years Celebrated: 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025
Every year, KOST-KCT celebrates Bone & Joint Day by organizing free spine health awareness camps.
Key Activities:
- Spine health awareness lectures by Shankar Acharya
- Free consultations for orthopaedic and spine patients
- Patient screening for spine-related disorders
- Free distribution of medicines during the camps
These programs aim to educate the public about bone density, spinal deformities, posture-related problems, and preventive care.
Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) Awareness Day
Date: September-2021
On Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) Day, KOST-KCT conducts awareness initiatives focused on:
- Understanding spinal cord injuries
- Rehabilitation and long-term care
- Improving quality of life for SCI patients
- Counseling patients and caregivers
Through these programs, we emphasize the importance of timely medical care, rehabilitation, and social support for individuals living with spinal cord injuries.
